John Lennon was born in 1940 and died at the tragically young age of 40. He shot to fame as the co-founder of the band "The Beatles" who are widely considered commerically to be the most successful band of all time. Lennon, born in Liverpool, not only enjoyed huge success with the band but also as a solo artist penning huge hits such as "Imagine" and "Give Peace a Chance." Lennon, who married Yoko Ono in 1969, was tragically murdered in 1980.
